Box Leo 5th at Houghton Hall

Terese and Regina Örup’s Box Leo was brilliant all week at his first CCI* at Houghton Hall. He got off to a great start, scoring 44.4 in dressage and then sailed through the competition to finish on his dressage score for eventual 5th in a huge field of 76 starters. This results would be impressive for any horse, but even more so for a 6 year old, in only his second ever international. We look forward to an exciting future with this horse and his lovely owners!

Aspe qualified for the Olympics

Aspe did a great job stepping up to CCI*** at Saumur, France, this weekend. She got off to a good start with a  dressage of 48.5, and then jumped a very impressive clear round the tough and very technical cross country track, adding only time penalties. On the final day she came out very fresh and  jumped beautifully, but a mistake coming into one of the combinations cost us a top placing with two rails down. She is however now qualified for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro!

Another win in Chatsworth

This time it was Silver Skymaster (Simon) who should the rest of the stable how it should be done winning his very first international 1* although Box Leo wasn’t far behind with his 3rd placing. We are so very proud of both Simon and Leo and can’t wait to see what they’ll bring in the future. A new hashtag has emerged from Simon’s adventures #SimonTheSnoozer as we rarely see him with his eyes open! Incredibly fresh and on the ball whilst under the saddle, he prefers the Ferdinand approach for the rest of his day.

Leo is bred and owned by a Swedish family and was 2nd at both 4 and 5 years old Breeders Trophy back home so we are a little bit extra excited about his future. We’re now matching him towards the Young Horse World Championships for 6 year olds in Le Lion later this year.
